The Spud Style magnetic foreign body is useful in removing both metallic and non-metallic corneal foreign bodies. The magnetic foreign body tool removes metallic foreign bodies with greater ease. Thus reducing trauma to the cornea, decreasing the chance of infection, and allowing for quicker healing.
